Photovoltaic solar modules

Solar energy is the cleanest and most natural form of energy we have, and in contrast to fossil fuels, solar energy is available anywhere on Earth. Photovoltaic solar modules convert sunlight directly into electricity using the photovoltaic effect.

Advantages of solar energy and photovoltaic solar modules:

- An unlimited resource
- Contribute to a higher degree of self-sufficiency
- Ensure a fixed energy price
- A CO2-neutral form of energy
- Very robust and reliable technology
- Cost-efficient

Originally, photovoltaic solar modules were very costly. The technology was used e.g. in space travel. However today the price of photovoltaic solar modules has dropped drastically, and photovoltaic solar modules are therefore relevant as an energy resource in both small and large-scale electricity production.
