Circulation pump

Most central heating systems are equipped with a circulation pump to circulate hot water around the radiators in the house. The circulation pump is usually the most electricity-consuming device in the house, and an out-of-date circulation pump means that, without knowing it, many house owners are contributing unnecessarily to Danish CO2 emissions.

Therefore both the climate and household budgets can benefit from changing to an energy-saving circulation pump - also known as an A-rated pump - before the old pump breaks down. As a house owner you can save thousands of DKK over the operational life of a pump. If all Danish households changed old circulation pumps to A-rated pumps, we could save the equivalent of one per cent of all Danish CO2 emissions every year.
